There is a lot to be said by the proponents of both sides of this debate. People that love a colorful tree are right to say that the many colors make the tree very friendly and festive looking and just invite people to look at it. The people that are more in favor of the tree lined with white lights say that they look more regal and more upscale than the traditional tree decorated with its multi colored lighting and garland.
The truth is that it truly does not matter which way you decorate as long as it fits your particular tastes. Folks that are immigrating to our country often spend the holidays filling in the US Immigration forms to obtain their US Green Card or are involved in making sure that they get their Green Card renewal taken care of. More often than not they forget about the holidays when they are swept up in that.
While it can be said that people need to stop and smell the coffee and try to balance out their lives, there are many of us that are just too busy working and handling life’s many issues to spend as much time as we should simply relaxing. Hopefully during the holidays we can take that time and sit back and enjoy a festive or regal looking Christmas tree.
Certainly there are much more enjoyable things than spending the holidays filling out the line items on the US Immigration Forms and yet if people took a break and enjoyed the season, things would often be better. The US Green Card will still be there waiting when you get back from taking your break and there is a good chance that if you relax a little things will seem clearer to you because you will be less stressed. The same goes for those folks after a Green Card Renewal. We all need to take a break from the things that stress us out and relax so that we can get a good balance in our lives.
A nice multi colored tree in the room often makes people think back to when they were a child and times were less eventful It takes them back to a time where the presents under the tree became the most important thing in the world. It puts us back into a time when a family sat around the tree and spent quality time with one another with only a board game to play.
The folks that have to deal with US Immigration forms over the holidays and are working towards attaining their US Green card, while their intentions are admirable, they need to remember that they need to break away and enjoy the good life that they are reaching for and the journey of getting there – not just the destination.. These people will have many years worth of Green Card Renewals to go through and they need not set the goal so high that they can not attain it here.
